THE MAGICAL REBOUND OF SHATTA WALE

Take it or leave it. Charles Nii Armah Mensah Jr. aka Shatta Wale is the biggest miracle that ever occurred in the history of Ghana music. His rich success story sends shivers through the veins of millions of his diehard SM fans. The only thing that baffles me as an Sm fan is why Shatta Wale has haters. What has our king done to deserve this unnecessary ill will from naïve thinkers who follow failures? As far as I know, the only crime Shatta Wale has committed is the fact that he has been able to make chunks of money with his God-given talent.  The following paragraphs highlight the reasons behind Shatta Wale’s highly successful musical career and why his fans are so much in love with him.

Shatta Wale is a born musician. Unlike some accidental musicians we see today, when we say Shatta Wale, we are talking about a guy who discovered his talent at an early age. During his senior high school days, he was popularly called by names such as Doggie, Ayoz, Bandana and Dubli Wale. Right after leaving senior high school, Shatta Wale, ventured into his musical talent by recording songs such as: banadana from Ghana, no problem, araba kwansima and others. Wonderfully, all the above listed releases enjoyed massive airplay across the nation as they became big hits. One thing is clear, a talented musician never struggles to make hit songs, and Shatta Wale has shown us his musical prowess by dropping hits upon hits since his Second Coming. Been a smart guy even at that time, Bandana quickly realized the unfair nature of the media and the unappreciative side of mankind. Even though, he proved to Ghana that he had a talent to show, he was ignored and not well promoted. This forced him to go for a musical hibernation and later rebranded. However, Bandana went and did his homework so well that, after ten years, he resurfaced as the musical giant we know today.

Aside his musical talent, Shatta Wale is a motivator and a comedian. The guy is fucking overloaded with talents. A good number of Shatta Wale critics are shallow thinkers who have no idea who they are trying to pull down. Growing up from Nima guetto in Accra, Shatta Wale is a hustler who has been through thick and thin. Even though, his rich dad initially wasn’t supportive of his son’s career path, Shatta Wale decided to go the hard way to live life on his own and chase his dreams. This is one thing that I personally admire about him. He was so sure that he would make it and he didn’t bother about his dad disowning him, and yes, he has made it. Today, Shatta Wale has the numbers because his success story is miraculous and motivating. Wale has preached money making to all guetto youth. He has preached hustling and hope to all and sundry. His musical performance is always full of energy and entertainment. Due to his clever comics, even if Shatta Wale puts down the mike today, to do acting, he will flourish. Unlike some artists who are only good at putting up boring performances, Shatta Wale is a versatile artist. The naysayers say he is ugly and he doesn't respect. But I tell you, life itself is ugly and disrespectful. Shatta Wale doesn’t need to respect anybody. If life respects humans, then people wouldn't be dying. Back off, Losers! And Long live our Dancehall King!
